Any fitness advisers out there?
Well I joined this club, where they do yoga, and kickboxing. I’ve never been athletic therefore, I’m not sure how to start. There is a yoga and kickboxing session everyday, 6x a week (each session lasts for an hour). Im a beginner therefore how many times a week should I do kickboxing, and or yoga?
I’m also trying to lose some weight if that helps.

if you have the time i’d say do them 3-4 times a week i wish i could do kickboxing that often but my class is only scheduled 2 times a week, i end up practicing out of class atleast once a week…
don’t be afraid to sit out for a few minutes to get some water or something if you feel dizzy, just tell the teacher and they should understand because they are there to help you do your best not to keep you down…

I’m not trying to be a smart-ass, but you said you have joined a club and I think if you ask the trainer or the people there they can help you more than the people here.

If you are a beginner, you might want to make sure the intensity of the class is going to fit you. I would try the yoga and kickboxing programs especially if you are trying to lose weight. If it doesn’t work out, just do kickboxing instead of both. Kickboxing is going to help you burn more calories than yoga.

If you’ve never been physically active, like working out in a gym, then I would shoot for 3 to 4 times a week taking a day off in between workouts. If you want to add more later, you can.
