does kickboxing help you lose weight?
Hey, I am thinking about starting kickboxing. I have been told it is great for fitness etc. but does it actually help you lose weight?
Thanks in advance!
The simple answer is yes. The more complex answer is that you get out of it what you put into it so if you get in class and work hard you’ll reap the rewards.
If you don’t really train hard, then you don’t see the benefits.
Also, if you’re wanting to lose weight I would examine your diet. You should drink at least 64 ounces of water every day, more if you’re working out hard. Eat several small meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism burning constantly as opposed to 2-3 large meals.
I’m 42, still a lean 180#, do Aikido as well as rock climbing and can compete and keep up with people half my age.
