PostHeaderIcon I’m 42 years old and would like to take a Muay Thai kickboxing class. Is it too late to start? How to prepare?

No! It’s not too late!
Find a school in your area that is certified to teach muay thai. A lot of places may claim they teach muay thai, but it is likely not authentic.
As for preparation, just go prepared with questions to the school, sign up, and start training!

Until you are dead, you can do martial arts. The best thing to do is just go for it, don’t worry about preparing.

Martial arts knows no age and no gender. All you need is the heart to do it and a good instructor.

    Go get ‘em

Absolutely not. I taught people of all ages, from 5 to 55. Any age is a great age to begin, so long as you have the willingness to learn and try hard. One of my instructors actually tested his mother for her black belt, and she was in her 60′s.

Walk in there with your head held high, an open mind, and a good work ethic. You will do great!

It is never too late to start. Especially if you are taking the classes for fun or self defense. Perhaps if you are looking to compete it may be more difficult. What i would say to prepare would be to make sure you are in shape and able to keep up with the technique which I’m sure you could without trouble. Go for it
